How do I volunteer?

We are in need of volunteers who desire to make our community a better place by improving lives through home ownership. Much of what Habitat is today, and will ever be, is made possible by our local donors and volunteers – some of whom have dedicated their time, treasures and talent for many, many years.

Home Construction

Individuals, business groups, church groups and other community organizations are needed to build a home alongside our future homeowners. No construction experience is necessary. All people of all skill levels are welcome at the build site. Volunteers work alongside contractors who will teach them what is needed to be done. Volunteers must be 16 years or older.

Hospitality or Site Hosting

Interested in being on the build site, but not looking to build? Consider site hosting. Our site hosts welcome and check-in volunteers, set up hospitality stations (food, water, first aid), help maintain a safe work environment and support all builders on site.

Food Donations

Do you like to cook or bake? Help us feed our hardworking volunteers on the build site. Homemade or donated goodies, snacks or full lunches are much appreciated!

Special Projects

Building homes alongside hardworking families and volunteers wouldn’t be possible without help behind the scenes. We’re always looking for people to help in a variety of ways – everything from planning events or fundraising activities, writing family stories, publicity, family selection, church relations to research and grant writing.
