Brush With Kindness

Habitat for Humanity’s mission is to create a world where everyone has a safe and affordable place to live. A "Brush with Kindness" is a program Habitat for Humanity offers that helps to make small home repairs for low-income homeowners and provide accessibility where possible.

Services that have been provided in the past have included numerous ramps and minor interior or exterior repairs, and minor clean-up. Areas which are not included are roofing, mold remediation, asbestos removal, and septic repair.

Criteria

- The project must be on property OWNED by the person for whom the work is being done. Problems existing with rental units are not included.

- The project must be on property within Brown County.

- The project must be for a low-income homeowner.

- The project must be within the confines of the Mission Statement.

Make a Request

Contact the office and discuss the need. A request form will be provided which will capture information about the requestor along with the need.

The request will be reviewed and an on-site project review may also be required.

If the project is approved a contract will be written so that requirements and deliverables from both the homeowner and Habitat for Humanity are understood and agreed to.
